"Even the timid will love these recipes! Just in time for football season, there's a new playbook for these parking lot parties. The Texas Tailgate Cookbook tackles the ins and outs of tailgating and includes themed menus with 53 recipes that feed a crowd." -- Dallas Morning News
June Naylor Harris and Marshall K. Harris both graduated from Fort Worth's Texas Christian University in 1979, and their loyalty to the Horned Frogs is exceeded only by their passion for cooking.
June's career spans that of dining critic, food writer and recipe developer, working for such publications as the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, Dallas Morning News, 360 West and Texas Monthly. She is also a travel writer and Texas Highwayscontributing editor. Her cookbooks include Big Ranch, Big City, co-authored with fellow TCU alum Louis Lambert, and the popular Texas Landmark Cafes guide for Great Texas Line Press. Early in her career, she wrote about sports, landing her first Star-Telegram byline in 1984 with a story about fellow Horned Frog Marshall Harris, former TCU football star who was leaving the NFL to play for the fledgling USFL.
Three decades later, Marshall and June became husband and wife. They live in Fort Worth, where Marshall enjoys a successful studio art practice, marshallkharris.com, and presides over a bountiful garden. They are honored to have taken the reins of Marshall's parents longtime tailgate tradition at TCU.
